With yWriter, you can have chapters that can be divided into as many scenes as you need, you can write notes to yourself pretty much anywhere, and you can have character descriptions and even pictures. I had an outline I made and used that to create the chapters, scenes (complete with titles and descriptions), and character descriptions. If you are outlining your book, this is a great tool to use because they have places for notes where you put the scene description in. The app has a clean interface that is very easy to work with. It works by organizing your work into chapters and scenes, thereby allowing you to schedule your work as if it were a project. If you’re like me, though, and you don’t have much money or aren’t sure Scrivener (or other paid softwares) are really worth it, there is an FREE option designed by a writer for writers: yWriter5. yWriter is handy little app that has some really useful features for novelists. Scrivener is probably one of the most popular. Writing Software there are a lot of them out there.
